Ferin awoke from the dream a year and a half prior to start of game. After waking she made good friends with two other Sylvari, a dreamer named Khloee and a soundness named Sarii. While all three were very different they still were good friends. Neither were put off by Killer's dead pan expression and emotionless reaction to things as well as none judged Sarii for her wish to no longer hear or feel the Dream.

From a young age Ferin was constantly going out and travelling the world, going missing for weeks or months at a time. It was during one of these times that she found herself stumbling into a tavern in Divinity's Reach known as The Maiden's Whisper. While there her Sylvan Hound, Shura, seemed to find interest in a man who had been laying on the ground. Pulling hound off the man she found him to be a fellow Sylvari, one much older than herself. As the two talked he introduced himself as Allen Nightshade. It wasn't long before Allen took the then still curious under his wing and began teaching her thr ways of the world, showing her more places far beyond the green of Caledon Forest.

It was through Allen that Ferin met Sarah, a hot headed Mesmer who could take a hit with the rest of them. The two became close and it was through Sarah that she met Abdel Featherfall. The two bonded over their love of animals and it wasn't long before flirting turned to true interest and soon the two had started a relationship.

Of course even a relationship could not tame Ferin's adventurous heart and soon she had found herself caught up in a slave cage thanks to some Krate. Not her best days. After being rescued Ferin stayed within the walls of Divinity's Reach. Choosing to stay with her dearheart where it was 'safe'. The two talked of many things including one day adopting children of their own. It was something she wanted to do, but more for Abdel than for herself. She was still young, even by Sylvari standards.

Sometime after attending Allen's wedding Ferin found herself once more out scouting the world, though this time she had a goal. Now she was working for the Whisper's and doing what she could in Orr, work in under Trahearne and his men to find a way to cleanse the blighted place.

During her years in the Whisper's she found herself returning the city less and less often. the world called to her far more than anything else. In the end this seemed to put a strain and hers and Abdel's relationship to the point that he wrote her, ending the relationship. She received the letter while in Orr and choose to push the feelings down, instead focusing and piercing the hordes of Risen with her arrows, carefully planned whistles ordering her faithful wold Jaxir. It was then that a shield circled her heart, hardening. Jaxir, Altair, all her pets...they were all she needed.

She didn't need anyone. They would just leave her after all. She wasn't made to be with someone like that, she was made to travel. To explore, to kill the hordes of risen. She had friends but even they were kept at some sort of arms length, always expecting them to leave her alone as well. It was why she chose the silence of Orr, the oddly beautiful landscape that had once haunted her thoughts became an escape. Allen's stories all faded into the background and it was years before she would find herself once more in Divinity's Reach. She and Abdel had staid friends, though she never counted on talking to him much. When they did it was calm, it reminded her of why she had loved him. He went on to have a family, a few kids, a nice wife.

While in the Whisper's however, Ferin made a very dear friend in Ilyana, Ana, Ackermann. The two traded stories while on missions and bonded over their love of animals. It was through Ana that Ferin met Rurik and immediately felt something...familiar. Of course, after all she had felt and all she had seen she pushed what ever it was away. She didn't have time for such things. Besides, he soon showed interest in a different Sylvari.

It was after Scarlet's attack and the sudden turning of many of the Sylvari, including Rurik's girlfriend, that Ferin found herself in not Orr but the Silverwastes with the rest of the pack. There she worked alongside many others to take on what they faced there, trying to take down the dragon that now threatened them. Because of his work with the pact, Ferin found herself working more and more with Rurik. The two had become friends before his lovers demise and she had even been present for the woman's funeral. It hurt her to see him as down as he was and she tried to make it a point to keep an eye out for him. On more than one occasion she would fell a mordrem from the shadows to help him. All without his knowing. Of course, she was sure his sister knew all too well. It wasn't long before Ferin joined the group known as the Pale Reavers. An all Sylvari troupe who had sworn their service to Tyria.

It was with the Reavers that Ferin soon found herself boarding one of the ships, giving her friends a farwell as she boarded. However, unlike many, when the ships were attacked...she did not turn. Instead she fought the voice that called to her. That dark tantalizing buzz that thrummed in her mind.

She would not faulter. She would be no ones prey. She was the hunter, not the hunted.

It was this that kept her going, kept her motivated to stay alive.

While in the forest she did everything she could to survive. Her bows gone she found herself resorting to an entirely different weapon set. A small uprooted sapling that had dried out was taken, and at first served as a good walking stick while she was injured. However she soon found herself able to do something...different. She found herself able to cast like a magic weilder would, only...these skills were different. They were based upon the very nature that she had embraced all her life. It wasn't long before Ferin found out that they were called the powers of the Druid, and she was not alone. However that would be a while. After picking up a pair of axes, a weapons she had trained with in her early years in the grove, Ferin soon once more set out.

Along the way she would find herself befriending a young wyvern who seemed to want nothing more than to follow her. She refereed to him as Aedus for the flames that he could spew from his mouth. He was over exitable, sort of like a pup, but it was refreshing.

It was the first time since Orr that Ferin had found herself so immersed in her surroundings. However this time, it was far from silent. There was always that voice, the voice who called to her, demanding her to join him. Something she would never do. For any reason.

It wasn't long before she finally found her friends, Ana and Rurik. Swooping down to them she cried with joy for the two had become like family for her. She was happy to see them safe, even more so that she could see them. By then her fern like leaves had been changed for vines with thorns. Her usual armor replaced with leaves of dark green and vibrant reds. She would later explain to them that she had to make herself look more dangerous to stay alive.

It was with them that she would travel, up to the point of finally defeating Mordremoth, a battle that had her filled with joy and adrenaline. So much so that she may have pulled Rurik to her in an impromptu kiss after their victory. It was there that she would find herself with the heaviest burden any Sylvari would ever know.

Taking the life of a first born.

But not just any First Born. Trahearne himself. Seeing him tethered to the remnants of the vile creature who had nearly destroyed their peaceful way of living, Ferin took up the broken remains of Caladbolg and did what her old mentor asked of her. She ended his suffering, at the expense of his life.

After the fall of Mordremoth Ferin, returned with Rurik and Ana to Divinity's Reach. She began staying in the Maiden's Whisper once more, a place that suddenly was very...empty. she hadn't seen Allen, or Sarah, or even Abdel in many years. Though, she found that even with all that her life had come full circle. And it seemed, was not stopping. After some prompting by Ana, rurik and Ferin finally talked about their feelings for one another, and after a few awkward gestures the two soon started their own relationship.

Now she simply waits to see where life will take her with Rurik and his family. The family she has made between her Sylvari sisters, Sarii and Khloee, and the humans who she has become very fond of.
